Today Was A Fairy Tale

Today Was A Fairy Tale

Nothing says spring like an al fresco wedding!

This stunning outdoor April ceremony was set on the gorgeous grounds of Brenners on the Bayou. Our bride saw her dream wedding through rose-colored glasses, which was the ultimate idea behind the bright color palette, venue, and natural setting.

Carefully selected blooms gave the impression that they were plucked straight from her spring garden and the bright red bridesmaid dresses added an extra pop of color to the natural surroundings.

A small town feel gazebo at Brenners set the tone for the sweet intimate ceremony, while the natural surrounding created the perfect whimsical background for their spring nuptials.

The elegant ceremony was accented by loosely arranged swags of ferns and foliage, affixed along the aisle with cascading ivory and champagne ribbons.

The blushing bride had bouquet rich in whimsy and overflowing with blooms, featuring pops of bright color that played to the wedding theme.

To create this focal piece, our team combined ruscus leaves and sea star ferns with red ranunculus, Juliet garden roses, Coral Charm peonies, and other soft selected floral pieces, and wrapped them in cascading nude and scarlet silk ribbons to create a bouquet fit for a fairy tale.

Along with a mix of greens and pops of jewel tones, Juliet garden roses, and red anemones were placed in the bridesmaid’s bouquets to add interest and correspond to the bride’s bouquet.

With the soft tones in the bride’s bouquet, and so they wouldn’t compete with the bright red bridesmaids’ dresses, soft neutral silk ribbons were lightly tied around each bridesmaids’ bouquets as the perfect finishing touch.

The whimsy didn’t end at the ceremony, the reception was adorned with gold footed compotes gushing with spring garden blooms in red and white, with touches of jewel tones and blushes.

An intimate sophisticated reception received a fairy tale touch with the spring color palette and abundant garden blooms, creating a fun light atmosphere.

To accent the couple’s contemporary wedding cake, large deep wine-red anemones were strategically placed.

The fresh deep red blooms added a touch of romance and tied in the room’s décor without taking away from the architectural nature of the cake.

Apples, Berries, and Citrus… Oh My!

Apples, Berries, and Citrus… Oh My!

Exciting new wedding trends are in full force this year, from non-traditional ceremony spaces to incorporating fruit and vegetables in your bouquet and floral arrangements!

Brides looking for modern, yet slightly non-traditional ideas are really pushing the boundaries when it comes to their bouquets and floral arrangements, and we are loving this new trend of incorporating fruits and vegetables into their florals.

From oranges to artichokes, rest assured this trend will add a depth of texture, rich color, and boldness to your wedding florals.

When it comes to a colorful palette, citrus is a great way intensify an already bold arrangement.

Slicing limes, lemons, or oranges and weaving them through your tablescapes will not only creates layers of texture, color, and contrast but will also add a rich citrus aroma that will enhance the ambiance of your intimate dinner with family and friends.

Red apples, berries, and pomegranates are an especially great choice to incorporate in your autumn floral arrangements.

We love the look of ‘tone on tone’ florals, perfect for moody autumn weddings; implementing fruit into your flower arrangements creates a continued rich monochromatic theme for your nuptials.

Still love your traditional bouquet but want to add a small twist to it? Add a larger piece, such a pomegranate or an artichoke. Place these statement pieces at the front of your bouquet or table arrangement to create a unique focal point!

This works particularly well with a large bouquet; combine same sized blooms with the artichoke to produce the perfect balance!

Take advantage of the fruit trend by playing with the wide spectrum of colors, sizes, shapes, textures, and even scents, to achieve the look and feel you envisioned for your wedding day!
